The Tiling and Roofing Estimating Calculator allows you to estimate the Labour, Material and Plant associated with the typical costs of stripping off sections of roof, re-roofing and tiling.
The Tiling and Roofing Estimating Calculator calculates the following items:
- Roof timbers
- Tiling, felt, lathe and sarking
- Ridge, verge, eaves and top tiles
- Plus all labour associated with replacing the materials above
You must enter the dimensions of the roof together with any lump sum items such as the length of time required to strip the roof.

NOTE:
- If you are estimating a complete roof, tiling and roofing will be automatically calculated within the Flat Roof, the cut and truss Apex Roof, Apex Valley Roof, Half Hip Roof and Lean To Roof Estimating Calculators respectively. The Tiling and Roofing Estimating Calculator should therefore only be used when you need to calculate tiling and roofing in isolation.
- Please pay particular attention to the Usage Factor for the roof tiling, which is highly variable for both labour and material and are particularly dependant on the roof tile selected. - In addition, you should pay close attention to the timber sizes, which are highly variable.
