In rare cases we see that when a device is updating itself to the latest version of BuildProjex it can get stuck, leaving you looking at the "Applying updates. Please wait" screen indefinitely. Closing and reopening browser tabs, restarting your browser or even rebooting your device will likely have no effect.


How to resolve this issue on your device

Select one of the options below to get specific instructions for your operating system and browser

Microsoft Windows operating system with Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge web browser

  1. In the top right of the browser press the menu button
  2. Select the "More tools" option
  3. Select the "Develoer tools" option


  1. Now with the DevTools side panel open press the arrow buttons
  2. Select "Application" tab option


  1. Now that the application tab is visible select "Storage" on the left
  2. Press the "Clear site data" button
  3. You can now close the DevTools side using the X button

You should now be able to refresh your BuildProjex browser tab and it will load normally. You will be prompted for your email address and password to log in again.

  1. In the top right of the browser press the menu button
  2. Select "Settings"


  1. On the left of the settings screen select "Privacy & Security"
  2. Scroll down to the "Cookie and Site Data" section and press the "Manage Data..." button


  1. Start typing the word buildprojex into the search box
  2. Once you see it in the list, click on it to select it
  3. Press the "Remove Selected" button
  4. Finally press the "Save Changes" button. You will asked if you are sure you want to remove the site data. Choose the "Remove" option

You should now be able to refresh your BuildProjex browser tab and it will load normally. You will be prompted for your email address and password to log in again.

Google Android operating system with Google Chrome web browser

  1. On the top right of the browser press the menu button


  1. Select "Settings" option


  1. Scroll down the settings screen and select "Data stored"


  1. In the search box start typing the word buildprojex
  2. When you see it in the list, click on it


  1. On the site settings screen, press the "Clear & reset" button


Keep clicking the browser back button until you are returned to the BuildProjex browser tab, refresh it and it will load normally. You will be prompted for your email address and password to log in again.

Apple iOS operating system with Safari browser

  1. From the iPad or iPhone settings screen scroll down and select "Safari"
  2. In the Safari settings select "Advanced"


  1. On the Advanced settings screen select "Website Data"

  1. In the search box start typing the word buildprojex
  2. Once you can see it in the list press the "Edit" button


  1. Against the BuildProjex entry press the red circle button - this will display a delete button on the right


  1. Press the "Delete" button
  2. Then press the "Done" button

You should now be able to return to Safari browser, refresh the BuildProjex tab and it will load normally. You will be prompted for your email address and password to log in again.
